Top Legal Marketers Honored at 2008 Hubbard One Excellence in Legal Marketing Awards

EAGAN, Minn., Jan. 25, 2008 – Hubbard One, the premier provider of marketing and business development solutions for law firms, presented the 2008 Hubbard One Excellence in Legal Marketing Awards Jan. 17 at the 15th annual Marketing Partner Forum in Palm Beach, Fla. The forum, presented by West Legalworks and The Hildebrandt Institute, is the legal industry’s leading conference on client development. The Hubbard One Excellence in Legal Marketing Awards called for nominations for Marketing Director/Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing Partner and Marketing Initiative of the Year. Selected by a panel of independent judges, the 2008 winners have excelled in the areas of marketing results, leadership, message clarity and focus, innovation, sophistication and the ability to take decisive action.
Foley & Lardner LLP was recognized for its Multimedia Integration Initiative, which was named Marketing Initiative of the Year. Foley has integrated more than 200 multimedia files throughout its Web sites, with new content added regularly. Each audio or video file is accompanied by relevant information, including an abstract, associated attorneys, services, publications, events and presentations – all in one location.
Anne Malloy Tucker, chief marketing officer at Goodwin Procter LLP, was selected as Marketing Director/Chief Marketing Officer of the Year. To promote the addition of five new firm offices, Tucker led aggressive marketing communications campaigns, including advertising, direct mail, public relations, high-visibility events and the organization of new client relationship teams. The result of the effort was increased national awareness of the firm and its capabilities.
Mark A. Long, managing/marketing partner at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, earned the title Marketing Partner of the Year. Among many other initiatives, Long aligned the firm’s organizational structure around strategic marketing units, groups charged with meeting the needs of a particular client or industry. He also introduced a collaboration credits program, which identifies and appropriately compensates all attorneys who helped open a new matter. During Long’s tenure, the firms’ revenue has doubled.
