Latest Westcast Features West Headnote of the Day

EAGAN, Minn., Oct. 26, 2007 - "Judicial notice could be taken that Friday is usually an off-day in World Series play." U.S. v. $1,963 in U.S. Money, 270 F. Supp 396 (1967) is today's Headnote of the Day and featured in the latest episode of Westcast, the audio podcast from Thomson West. Headnote of the Day is the new free daily information feed from West.
"People are fascinated with the law," said Al Maleson, West Headnote of the Day developer. "The law is life and death, love and betrayal, marriage and family, crime and punishment. This is also what is captured in the free West Headnote of the Day, and why we think headnotes make good daily reading."
Editor's note: A headnote is a concisely written definition of a point of law in a judicial case, and any given case can have more than 50 points of law. West attorney-editors have written more than 24 million headnotes as part of West's caselaw collection, and write some 500,000 headnotes each year.
